Team Sauerland is delighted to announce that Mikkel Kessler (44-2, 33 KOs) will challenge WBO Super-Middleweight Champion Robert Stieglitz (40-2, 23 KOs) at Copenhagen´s PARKEN Stadium on April 14. Their clash was originally scheduled for November 5 but had to be postponed after the Viking Warrior picked up a hand injury. Kessler successfully underwent surgery and is now ready to take the title away from Stieglitz. “I am glad we have the new date confirmed,” the three-time world champion said. “The recovery is going very well. I have kept in shape. Once the injury has healed properly, I will return to full boxing training. I have promised my Viking fans to make up for the postponement in style and I will put on a great show at PARKEN on April 14.”

Added promoter Kalle Sauerland: “We are pleased to confirm the new date. 2012 will be a big year for the Viking Warrior as he seeks global domination for his beloved Denmark.”

All tickets purchased for the original date will remain valid but can be refunded via billetlugen.dk's call center at +45 70 263 267. Refunds can be made until December 6, 2011.
